Week in Review: Indy, Late Model

The last few weeks have been conservative for Mad Motorsports. The team completed research and made the purchase of the Oculus Rift as part of it's experience. Following practice the team took the plunge and ran initial races. The team participated in it's first Late Model start since ending the series as it's primary several years ago. The MM car was not well tested and this proved itself with an extremely loose car. "It felt okay at first, but a few laps in and it was like driving on ice. It was miserable and we spun once. We were lucky to finish." the driver said. The team did see success, however, in the form of a top ten finish in Indianapolis. The #6 xFinity Toyota took 8th place following a 17th place start. The car was fast and the racing close. "We earned that one, no doubt about it. It wasn't luck today. I had a lot of fun in the car after figuring out how to save tires early on. We burned them early but thats ok, pit stops fixed that." The team looks to Pocono this week, the first time running the track since the 2006 season.
