MAD Motorsports Looks to 2020
Mad Motorsports returns in 2020 with the restart of the full former team members. The team returned with the Cyber Thunder Bolt Cup series, with true points contention in league racing for the first time in nearly ten years. The Ford Mustangs took off together at Richmond for the first time in nearly two decades. The #91 Mad Dog Radio car currently carries the team with a 13th place in points after three races. With a missed season opener, the #92 Best Buy car has lost the points battle but remains in contention for race by race gains. The primary focus, team staff members said, would be the oval cup car and cup season with Cyber Thunder. Staff mentioned that with the recent purchase of the BMW M8 GTE car, they will start under the lights at the 90 Minutes of Sebring tonight through ERA Racing League with placeholder paints. With new cars on order and being worked on, the team hopes to enter road competition for the first time as a 2 car operation.
