Team BMW M8 Spends Weekend at Road America

The team rolled out the BMW GTE M8 program to run a duel weekend series at Road America and the Road circuit in Barcelona in the dark of night. Driver Tyler Beamon ran solo in the IMSA Series in the night events and driver Bradley Beamon drove the BMW at Road America Saturday April 18th in the Iracing Le Mans Series for an hour long event. The MM car started 33rd and finished 20th after a couple off tracks and light contact into the wall after a spin. The team focused on alternate strategy, choosing to fill up with fuel and take 4 fresh tires in the single pit stop. As other drivers commented on communications that they were sliding and losing speed, the MM BMW was able to stay on track after pit stops with the fresh tires while competition was struggling to handle the worn Michelins.
